John — twice in the last few weeks, we’ve seen what a difference it makes when folks turn out to vote.

First, in Kansas, a diverse coalition of Democrats, independents, and pro-choice Republicans came together to protect the right to choose. Then, just a few days ago in New York, a Democratic candidate proved all the doubters wrong and won a special election most pundits thought he would lose.

Now, we need that same grassroots energy in Colorado. We need to turn out voters from all walks of life in support of our mission to protect our freedoms, save people money, and build a Colorado for All.

So I’m asking every single one of my supporters, including you, John, to pledge that you will vote in this year’s election — because the stakes are way too high for anybody to sit this one out. Will you promise to vote this year?

Whether we win or lose this race could determine whether women keep the freedom to make their own reproductive health decisions here in Colorado.

It will determine whether we keep fighting to save money for families — or instead put corporations and wealthy special interests first.It will determine whether we take the action needed to stop toxic pollution in our air and water and protect our planet from climate change.

It will determine whether we protect our nation-leading vote-by-mail system — or give into misguided efforts to undermine our elections.

It will determine whether we lead in a way that puts the needs of Coloradans first — or instead let politics and loyalty to Donald Trump be the deciding factor on the most important decisions.
