Election officials are trusted by their community to run an unbiased election and certify accurate results. How can voters do that when one of their election commissioners proudly proclaimed, “the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat?"
That is one of the notable quotes from Couy Griffin – Otero County Commissioner and leader of Cowboys for Trump. On top of that outrageous comment, Griffin is also known for nearly disenfranchising over 7,000 voters by refusing to certify a perfectly valid election based on a “bad feeling.” That is until Maggie forced his commission to certify the results, saving the votes – which were majority Republican – and keeping candidates on the ballot.
