John – Election Day is rapidly approaching, and with our House majority on the line, we wanted to share 10 things that voters in PA-06 should know before casting their vote.
Here's what you need to know about Guy Ciarrocchi, the man we CANNOT allow to replace Chrissy in office:
1. Guy Ciarrocchi is a right-wing extremist who has been a conservative activist for decades, most recently running a failed campaign for governor of Pennsylvania.
2. Ciarrocchi has long pushed for Roe v. Wade to be overturned. He has worked to overturn the ruling and restrict women’s rights to make their own medical decisions. Thanks to him and his allies who helped to stack the Supreme Court, there is government-mandated pregnancy in multiple states across our country.
3. He has also backed right-wing policies to disenfranchise voters, calling for voter ID laws, criticizing early voting in September, ballot drop boxes, and mail-in ballots.
4. He has repeatedly undermined our democracy. In fact, discussing the 2020 election, he stated, “you don't have to work very hard to convince me that the Democrats cheat at elections."
5. As the Dobbs ruling raises alarms about protections and rights for the LGBTQ community, it's worth noting that Ciarrocchi has a deeply troubling history of discriminatory comments and behavior toward members of the LGBTQ community, including opposing marriage equality and fighting to prevent same-sex couples from receiving basic spousal benefits.
6. Gun violence has undoubtedly devastated many American families across our nation – and yet, Ciarrocchi claims that “many of the attacks on the Second Amendment are really a proxy fight by the left to attack our values and grow the control of government.”
7. Ciarrocchi was called “Rick Santorum’s protege.” And even though the Inflation Reduction Act offers relief to Americans struggling with rising prices and makes important investments in the fight against global climate change, Ciarrocchi said that he would give "an emphatic ‘no’ vote" on this historic bill.
8. Ciarrocchi opposes a $15 minimum wage.
9. He's proven himself as a community critic, not a community steward. Ciarrocchi exaggerated crime rates to score cheap political points, saying that he and his wife no longer went to dinner in Philadelphia due to rising murders, declaring, “I'm not interested in playing Russian Roulette.”
10. Top Republican leaders – including Kevin McCarthy, Steve Scalise, and Pat Toomey – have been going all-in, pouring an obscene amount of cash into his campaign to flip our seat red.
This is what we're up against in November, John. It's clear we need strong leaders, like Chrissy, across the country to move us forward, not take us backward.
But with an entire arsenal of GOP multimillion-dollar donations and super PACs on his side, we're relying on grassroots supporters like you to help Chrissy get reelected: Can you chip in to ensure we reelect Chrissy so she can continue to fight for the people of PA-06?
