John, there’s one day I will unfortunately never forget — May 2, 2022.
At approximately 8:30pm, Politico dropped a bombshell report: the Supreme Court had voted to overturn Roe v. Wade and end the constitutional right to an abortion, according to a leaked draft opinion.
And in an instant, this grassroots network of feminists sprang into action. Since May 2, 2022:
But we can’t take our foot off the gas pedal yet — our work is far from over. Just 6 weeks from today, thousands of women and allies will descend onto the streets of Washington — and join together at sister events happening all across the country — for our nationwide Weekend of Action.
To be completely frank, we need even more resources to support the logistical nightmare that is hosting a massive march in the nation’s Capital. Even though it’s free for people to show up and march, we need to cover the cost of things like Porta Potties, COVID-19 safety supplies, and printing signs. Today, I am asking you to make a $6 contribution to support Women’s March’s work as we prepare for our next March in just 6 weeks.
