CAMPAIGN UPDATES
RECORDS: Unemployment remains at a historic low
Minnesota’s historic economic growth under Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan continued in July according to numbers released by the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The state’s historic rate continues to be the lowest ever recorded by a state. Under Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan’s leadership and partnership with Minnesota’s business community, Minnesota is creating jobs at twice the national rate.
“This jobs report demonstrates Governor Walz’s and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan’s economic agenda is working,” said Walz-Flanagan campaign manager Nichole Johnson.

POLITICAL UPDATES
The Governor and Lt. Governor visited Duluth last week, participating in a roundtable with labor leaders followed by the Lt. Governor launching a door knock in West Duluth. The energy for DFL candidates in CD8 is palpable!
On Saturday and Sunday, the Lt. Governor truly embraced the meaning of DFL! She supported democracy by launching two door knocks in Roseville and St. Cloud. She then stopped by a meeting with the Minnesota Farmers Union board members, and visited the LiUNA annual picnic and the AFL-CIO Retiree Fundraiser. On top of all of that, the Lt. Governor gave remarks and toured the Shakopee Wacipi.
