Phenomenal news! Despite the tremendous obstacles of petitioning during a pandemic, soaring costs of petition drives, and unprecedented harassment and intimidation from well-funded Democrat operatives, Greens have been achieving fantastic ballot access results this year! Several of these successes have been achieved with the help of funding and other resources and support from Green Party US. 



As of today, Greens in New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts have all successfully collected enough valid signatures to certify their party access and/or their candidate’s place on the ballot in November! Also, California Green candidates successfully earned enough votes to keep GPCA on the ballot for another election cycle. Thus far in 2022, Greens have managed to collect over 62,000 signatures. In the current petitioning firm market, that many signatures would cost upwards of half a million dollars! These victories for voter choice were driven by grassroots donations and volunteer petitioning from dedicated supporters like you – no big money PACs or high-priced political operatives. This year's ballot access successes have relied entirely on grassroots organizing.

Unfortunately, despite recent successes in several states, Greens and Green Party candidates are still facing an uphill battle – and a long way to go – for one reason: a severe lack of the financial resources necessary to fight the many onerous legal and legislative attacks on our party. Until everyday people build a winning political movement that puts leaders in office who reject corporate cash and corruption, the United States will remain one of the most difficult countries in the world for independent political voices to get on the ballot. That is why we need your help today.



This month, after collecting over 22,500 signatures, the North Carolina Green Party won two historic victories to overturn the wrongful actions of the NC State Board of Elections and the Democratic Party's unconstitutional attempts to keep them off the ballot. After nationwide criticism and outrage over electoral suppression, the elections board finally granted party certification to NCGP. Despite losing their attempts to keep Greens off the ballot, the Democrats have indicated their intent to appeal and legally challenge Greens’ rightful place as a certified party in North Carolina.



DONATE TO THE GREEN PARTY <[link removed]>In New York state, Greens are facing an even tougher challenge. In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, then-Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law a shameful bill that tripled the required number of valid signatures from 15,000 to 45,000 (with only six weeks to collect), and more-than-doubled the number of votes to keep ballot access. This extreme rules change knocked the Greens and Libertarians off the ballot. Greens in New York need your help to surmount this horrifically undemocratic and unconstitutional barrier!
