John --

We need more African American voices in Congress. When we have a seat at the table, we're able to lift up our community's concerns and advocate for policies that address the unique challenges we face.

There is no greater example of this than my friend Lauren Underwood.

Representing Illinois' 14th district, Lauren is a nurse and advocate for working families who co-founded (and now co-chairs) the Black Maternal Health Caucus. Thanks to Lauren, the vital and often ignored African American maternal health crisis will continue to be elevated in the halls of Congress.

We need to make sure Lauren STAYS in Congress, John. Can I count on you to chip in $5 right now to support her 2020 re-election campaign?

Your donation today is split with my Block by Block leadership PAC that will help us elect more Democrats and African American voices up and down the ballot next year. And every dollar is used to inform and mobilize voters -- not buy fancy trips or dinners, unlike some other PACs.

Thanks to Lauren, African American women and their families all over this country will benefit from the life-saving solutions she'll now be able to advance with more focus and urgency. That's why we can't afford to lose this incredible leader in 2020 -- but I need your help today to protect her seat.

Thanks,

Dwight
