Right now, 45% of Fortune 500 companies were started by immigrants and their children, meaning immigrants are responsible for creating 13.5 million jobs.
It’s not just massive companies that boost our economy. As the Chair of the Small Business Committee, I get to see the beneficial effects that immigrant-owned small businesses have on our economy every day. Immigration is an asset, not a threat. And yet the president continues to try to stir racial resentment against immigrants. It’s up to us to push back and show that the American people stand behind our immigrant friends and neighbors!
