We will never forget the 13 brave fallen heroes who gave everything to save the lives of Americans and our allies in Kabul, Afghanistan on this day last year. My heart is with their loved ones, including of Southern California marines LCpl Dylan Merola, LCpl Kareem Nikoui and Cpl Hunter Lopez. Their names and stories are with us always. U.S. Marine Sgt. David Nick Traylor, a constituent from La Habra, was wounded at the Kabul airport in Afghanistan last year. He plans to join the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to honor Cpl. Hunter Lopez, his friend and fellow SoCal marine who was killed in the attack. We will never forget. Thank you to Yorba Linda Police and Fullerton's MAC Speed and Custom for putting on our community's first Coffee with a Cop Classic Car Show. I loved seeing such a big turnout at this fun event. Thank you to Anaheim Fire and Rescue Chief Pat Russell and the Fire Station #8 team for showing me around your CA-39 facility and discussing critical wildfire mitigation efforts across our community. I'm committed to standing with our firefighters who keep us safe. Learn More. I visited with the team at the USPS Distribution Center in Anaheim to learn more about their operations, robust veterans hiring program and important work to deliver packages to customers and keep our supply chain moving. Yorba Linda business owners Thomas and Aileen Huynh go above and beyond at Monarch 9 Cafe to share their family’s fresh and delicious recipes and cooking passed down for generations. I love their chicken ginger pho and am proud to recognize their success as a CA-39 small business. Great to recognize Sandwich Hut in Fullerton and Guppy Tea House in Anaheim!
