Team — It's Liz, Derek's Finance Director.
Today is the 102nd anniversary of the 19th Amendment's ratification and Women's Equality Day.
This anniversary is a celebration of how far we've come in the fight for women's equality – but it also serves as a stark reminder that our fight for women's social and institutional equality is far from over.
Over the past few months, especially with the fall of Roe v. Wade, it's become clear what's at stake in this election. Women's bodily autonomy and right to basic reproductive health care are on the ballot this November – and it's up to us to ensure that the voices of the extremist few don't outweigh the will of the majority of Americans.
This election season is already shaping up to be one of the most competitive midterms in American history. Republicans only need to flip FOUR seats to win back the House majority. Derek is working hard to defend vulnerable Democrats in the House to ensure that things like abortion access and other forms of crucial reproductive care – such as contraception – aren't lost due to extremist politicians who want to take our country back in time.
Team, there is no better way to celebrate Women's Equality Day than to commit to using our voices to uplift and fight for the fundamental rights of women all across our nation. Join our team in committing to fighting for women's equality and progress. Add your name next to Derek's today:
Thanks for all you do,
Liz
