Thank you.

With our signature collection complete, we are on the verge of putting the question of whether illegal immigrants should be entitled to Massachusetts driver's licenses before voters in November.

Friend,

For the last eight weeks, many of you have stood in the sweltering heat soliciting signatures, many of you have taken valuable time out of your day to visit your local clerk's office, many of you shared signature forms with your family and friends to sign, or you maybe you simply signed and submitted your own signature form.

Whatever you did, it made a difference. And for that, on behalf of the Massachusetts Republican Party, we are sincerely grateful.
In case you missed it, on deadline day I joined Fair and Secure Massachusetts Chairwoman Maureen Maloney, referendum chief organizer Wendy Wakeman, and dozens of other candidates and volunteers outside Boston City Hall to proudly announce our haul of more than 100,000 signatures from registered voters.

The location for our announcement, just steps from Faneuil Hall, was symbolic in that we gathered at the foot of what's historically recognized as the cradle of American liberty.
Once the Massachusetts Secretary of State's office completes its final certification of signatures, we will be taking the next step in our journey.

Between now and Election Day, our mission must be to remind Massachusetts voters that the Democrats chose to prioritize the lives of individuals who broke the law to enter this country over the lives of citizens who are here legally.

The undeniable fact is that Massachusetts taxpayers already pay $2.5 billion annually as a result of illegal immigration, and will be forced to pay far more than that if the Democrats' partisan law is not overturned this fall.

We now have three major goals.

The first is to stop illegal immigrants from gaining access to drivers licenses.

The second is to stop Attorney General Maura Healey from becoming the next governor.

The third is to elect as many Republicans, up and down the ticket, as we possibly can.

I ask that all of you remain engaged.

During the coming weeks we will be announcing a statewide series of campaign training sessions that will prepare volunteers to participate in a massive door-to-door canvassing campaign. We will be devoting all of our efforts to not only overturning the Democrats' driver's licenses for illegals law, but also to help elect our roster of Republican candidates.

We could not have made it this far without you, but we have so much farther to go.

I'm thankful to have you with us for the journey.

Yours,
Jim
