The R.E.D. Moon Project will help Regain, Expand and Decriminalize abortion rights by delivering local policies to protect abortion access. As a partner on the project, Ground Game Texas will do what it does best: we’ll organize community-by-community, building support for local protections for abortion rights.

Friend, yesterday Texas’s trigger laws on abortion went into place. That means as of today, it is a felony—punishable by life in prison—for any doctor to perform an abortion, even in the cases of rape or incest. Texas now has some of the most extreme abortion laws in the nation.

But we’re fighting back, from the ground up. We’re partnering with the R.E.D. Moon Project to fight for and deliver local protections for abortion rights to combat the criminalization of abortion and pregnancy outcomes in our state. 

The best part? We’ve already got a playbook for success. From increasing local wages, to tackling climate change at the local level, to decriminalizing marijuana, Ground Game Texas has shown that progressive change is possible in Texas. We’ll recreate that success to deliver local protections for abortion rights that are under assault in our state.
