Team,
Earlier this week, the federal government released a long-awaited plan to tackle our student debt crisis. With $10K cancellations, income-based caps, and an extended pause on repayment through the end of the year, we took a big step closer to something Fairness Project has been fighting for since day one: economic fairness.
We still have so much more work to do, but that’s where we — and you — come in, team! We’ve been on the front lines of raising wages, expanding Medicaid, and improving lives since 2016. But we can’t do it without you. Can you chip in $15 today so we can continue fighting for economic fairness?
We’re celebrating this huge moment because it provides relief to about 43 million borrowers. This is HUGE (!!) for working families and is progress towards closing the racial wealth gap.
But we can’t stop here. We’re taking this momentum to the next level this year by fighting for workers across the country, whether that be by ending predatory debt collection, enacting livable wages, or by increasing paid leave. Our work towards economic fairness is only possible through the support of our grassroots donors like you, team. Can we count on your support today so we can keep up our momentum?
Let’s keep fighting for economic fairness together.
