182. That’s now many days Ukrainian children have lived in a war zone. 10.35 million. That’s how many people have been forced to flee their homes. 85,000+. That’s how many members of this incredible community have stepped up for children in Ukraine. Today marks six months since the war in Ukraine began, and media attention is dwindling, but millions of children’s lives and futures remain at risk. That’s why Save the Children is still there, and is continuing to provide lifesaving support – all thanks to supporters like you. IMAGE OF A CHILD In Dnipro, Ukraine, we are distributing food, water and hygiene kits to internally displaced families. These kits include toothbrushes, soap and enough food and water to last a family for a week. IMAGE OF A CHILD Children like two-year-old Eda* and her thirteen-year-old sister Anastasia* fled as bombings ravaged their hometown. Now in Lithuania, they rely on Save the Children for clothes, food and other essential items IMAGE OF A SUMMER SCHOOL W/ KIDS We are also helping support children’s long-term educational and psychosocial needs. Our Save the Children summer school in Warsaw is a safe haven where refugee children can learn, play and receive mental health support. Every single child in Ukraine is in grave danger of physical harm, severe emotional distress and displacement. As schools are destroyed and families flee their homes, this war is costing kids their futures and violating their most basic human rights. We need to stand with them during this dark time, and your voice is critical to these efforts. Help us bring accountability and justice for the children of Ukraine.
