Friends,

122 years ago today, the 19th Amendment was certified and American women were finally given the right to vote.

This Women's Equality Day, I want to take a moment to acknowledge both the vital contributions of the suffrage movement to the betterment of our country and the continuing work of women activists and leaders who carry on the fight for equality today.

I also want to re-affirm my commitment to equal rights, and specifically my commitment to protecting abortion access. Today is a reminder that sometimes we need to fight to secure gender equality — but that fight is always worth waging.

I'm thankful to the leaders past and present who have led the fight for women's equality, and I remain dedicated to helping build on their progress.

Best,

David
