Hi team,
Virgin Islanders know it as well as anyone: climate change is a growing existential crisis that isn’t going anywhere, and we are running out of time to tackle it. That’s why in the Inflation Reduction Act passed by Congress earlier this month, we made the single biggest investment in climate action in U.S. history.
The investments included in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 will bring down consumer energy costs, invest heavily in American clean energy manufacturing, increase energy security and reliability, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by roughly 40 percent by 2030. These are all immense steps forward in our fight against the climate crisis.
But perhaps most importantly, the bill proportionately makes significant investments towards those most vulnerable to the climate crisis, including coastal communities like the Virgin Islands. From programs like air pollution reduction at ports to grants for coastline restoration, the Inflation Reduction Act contains several measures that will make the Virgin Islands and the country as a whole far better prepared to prepare for and combat climate change.
I am so proud to have contributed to our country’s biggest ever climate investment, including legislative wins most crucial to the Virgin Islands. But my work doesn’t end here, and I need your help so I can keep it up. Can you chip in today to my re-election campaign so I can keep speaking up for Virgin Islanders in Congress?

The Inflation Reduction Act goes a long way in protecting our planet, and my team and I worked hard to ensure the Virgin Islands were provided what is fair. And we’ve delivered. But I won’t rest on my laurels for long, because the fight to ensure the Virgin Islands is treated fairly goes on. Donate today to support my re-election campaign so I can keep working toward a healthier planet and fairer economy for everyday Americans.
