Last Friday, we launched our two-week Summer Campaign to raise the $75,000 we need to cover the costs of our news operations between now and this November’s all-important midterm elections.
As of this morning, our campaign is half over. But with just one week, we haven’t raised anywhere close to half our goal.
We’re not panicking . . . yet. We know some of you tend to put things off till the last minute, or hold off on making donations until you know it’s really urgent.
But time is running short, and we need to start catching up right now.
You know what’s on the line in this midterm election. Big Lie election deniers are trying to take over our voting systems. Right-wing fundamentalists are banning all abortion from the moment of conception. Climate wreckers are wanting to go back, not forward, on carbon emissions.
This is no time for progressive nonprofit media to be scaling back or shutting down, and we can’t do it without you.
