The Senate majority could all come down to our race. This month, National Republican Senatorial Committee staffers told their corporate donors they have no path to the majority without this seat.

What happens here on Election Day is make-or-break for all of us. Consider these two scenarios:

Option 1: We secure a historic victory and Cheri Beasley becomes North Carolina’s first African American Senator and a champion for all of our families. She casts the decisive 51st vote to protect voting rights and our democracy, secure the right to abortion nationwide, and puts power back in the hands of the people — not corporate special interests.

Option 2: We come up short on Election Day. Not only does Mitch McConnell become majority leader again, but it puts the Senate gavels in the hands of people like Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley. Ted Budd will immediately vote to further their agenda of a national abortion ban, opposing LGBTQ+ equality, tax breaks for billionaires and corporations, and handouts to Big Pharma and Big Oil.

Our families, our democracy and our planet cannot afford for them to be in power. They will do everything they can to roll back our rights and freedoms.
