Yesterday, supporters and volunteers in New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District held an event outside Rep. Andy Kim’s district office to deliver hundreds of constituent signatures calling on him to sign on as a cosponsor of Medicare for All in Congress.

This wasn’t the first time that Andy Kim heard from his constituents. Local activists have been hard at work putting the pressure on. They’ve collected nearly 400 signatures from constituents and delivered a letter from 11 unions and labor organizations who represent New Jersey workers asking him to cosponsor Medicare for All. In total, 24 different organizations in the district have asked him to sign on. Multiple op-eds from constituents have been published in local media outlets, and Rep. Kim has been asked at least five different recent town halls about his lack of support for Medicare for All.
We’ve done all this because Andy Kim is on our list of priority representatives in Congress who we believe are most likely to be the next cosponsors of Medicare for All. He knows how important Medicare for All is, and his constituents have told him time and time again how life changing it would be for their community.
National pressure is critical to pushing representatives like Andy Kim to support issues like Medicare for All, and we’re not going to let up anytime soon. Thank you for joining our fight!
