The Professional Fire Fighters of Maryland (PFFMD) endorsed Heather this week — while formally censuring Andy Harris at the same time.
Andy Harris has been a disaster for first responders. He voted against a law to extend the deadline for first responders to submit 9/11-related health claims and the head of PFFMD said his actions “were egregious … and impact more than just Maryland’s 1st Congressional District; they impact our firefighters nationwide.”
This should be disqualifying behavior, but sadly it’s just more of the same from Andy Harris, who voted against health care coverage for veterans exposed to burn pits.
The message from Andy Harris is clear: If you get sick or injured serving your country or community, he won’t have your back.
