Today is Women’s Equality Day – the day that commemorates the adoption of the 19th Amendment, which granted some women the right to vote.
Despite the celebration, women have not been treated equitably this past century – let alone this year – as the Supreme Court stripped away women’s fundamental right to abortion. This election, it is imperative that we elect leaders ready to codify our constitutional rights, protect access to contraceptives, and build an economy that supports working moms.
In celebration of Women’s Equality Day, earlier this week Mad joined Speaker Nancy Pelosi to discuss the upcoming election and all that is at stake for women’s rights this year.
The event was live streamed, but don’t worry if you missed it – check out this clip from the recording now.
When it comes to protecting the rights of women and girls, Mad leads by example. From her arrest alongside activists in front of the Supreme Court to her commitment to support only pro-abortion rights Democrats, Mad will do whatever it takes to advocate for the rights of women and girls in PA-04 and beyond.
Check out this clip from the panel with Mad and Speaker Nancy Pelosi. And be sure to share it with your friends and family!
Together,
Team Dean
