The scope of the national security crisis is coming into focus. 

The Justice Department has partially released the affidavit used to recover extremely sensitive documents from Mar-a-Lago. 

We now know that the government previously retrieved documents that citizen Trump was hoarding. Nearly 200 classified documents, with 25 marked as TOP SECRET. 

The FBI was forced to search Mar-a-Lago after learning that Trump still had many documents in his possession! It has also been revealed that Trump’s lawyer signed a document falsely claiming that there were no more government documents to be returned.

The FBI’s search was seeking sensitive intelligence related to nuclear technology, according to The Washington Post.

Why was citizen Trump hoarding top secret documents? We know he’s not an avid reader.

• Who else had access?
• Why did his lawyer say that he didn’t have them?
• Was the information copied and sold?

The answers are essential to knowing the national security risks we now face. 

We know if obstructionist Republicans are allowed to take Congress, they will do everything they can to avoid getting those answers and help Trump avoid accountability. They’ve done it before.

It’s up to us to stick together to assure accountability and protect our national security.

We must not only defend our congressional majorities, we have to expand them. We can only do that by turning rural, red seats BLUE.
