Here’s why: It doesn’t take huge sums to power our grassroots organization. When everyone pitches in, we can do big things together -- including winning tough races in Ohio and across the country this year. 

Any amount you can chip in before the end of the day would make a big impact.

There are about two months left until Election Day, and in Ohio, you can tell because the Senate race here is heating up. And what do we need when races get more competitive? Grassroots support. You know I usually ask for $26, our average online contribution, this time of the month but I have a different ask: Will you chip in our average August online contribution of $21.30?

Here’s the latest from the Ohio Senate race:

• The National GOP made a $1 million ad buy boosting J.D. Vance. That was bad enough, but it’s pennies compared to the $28 MILLION Ohio ad buy a McConnell-linked outside group made shortly after.


• The Republican governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis -- a potential 2024 presidential contender -- showed up in Ohio for a rally with Vance earlier this month.


• Recent polls show Tim Ryan leading Vance by a narrow, single-digit margin.

What does all of this tell us? That National Republicans are panicking so they’re pulling out all of the stops -- which means spending massive sums and recruiting GOP heavy-hitters.

Our grassroots organization doesn’t run on big checks from special interests. It runs on the support of people like you. I’m personally asking: Will you chip in our average August online contribution of $21.30 before the end of the day tomorrow to help us win in Ohio and across the country this November?
