A few amazing things happened recently that reaffirmed that we should not give in to despair, and encouraged all the incredible grassroots work that is having some incredible results... Need we say more than KANSAS! Or the Inflation Reduction Act – sweeping legislation that lowers health care costs and helps combat climate change – that President Biden managed to sign despite the most intense partisanship we have seen since we survived McCarthyism!

If this was all possible in spite of Democrats' razor-thin Senate majority, can you imagine what we could accomplish if people like Maggie not only hold their seats, but other Democratic candidates join her?

The alternative is too terrifying to consider: the possibility of Republicans banning abortion nationwide, continuing their disinformation campaigns, and threatening the very fabric of our peaceful transfer of power…

But that is why we are so encouraged by what is happening on the ground – by what all sorts of peoples’ combined voices are telling us about choice, about Democracy, and about faith in our institutions. And all that and more is what we are supporting by making sure Maggie Hassan is reelected to the U.S. Senate!
