Fifty-five percent (55%) of voters oppose a provision increasing IRS funding by $80 billion to allow them to audit more taxpayers. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 31% support the provision, and 13% are not sure.
The survey also found that 48% of voters would prefer to use that $80 billion to pay for more border patrol agents. Just 17% prefer using it to pay for more IRS agents, 25% want neither, and 10% are not sure.
