Dear John,

On Wednesday, the Biden administration announced that it has finalized a
new Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) regulation, which will
be published Tuesday and will go into effect Oct. 29. The rule is
designed to preserve and fortify DACA - an encouraging step forward.
However, DACA remains in legal jeopardy, which leaves Dreamers at risk.

Urge Congress to pass a permanent solution for Dreamers.

The rule is a positive step that seeks to protect hundreds of thousands
of Dreamers, who were brought to the U.S. as children and contribute
daily to our communities in a multitude of ways. But this rule is not a
permanent solution - and DACA continues to be under serious threat in
the courts. Only Congress can provide permanent solutions through
passing legislation.

Dreamers are vital to our economy and our communities, and their sense
of certainty about their futures should not be subject to reversal by
future presidential administrations and repeated court challenges.
Americans support legislation from Congress that would provide a
permanent solution for Dreamers and allow them to continue to contribute
to our communities.

Congress must act to protect Dreamers. Urge them to take action now.

Thank you for all you do,
