We're setting up billboards all over the district to put Scott Perry's MAGA extremism on full display Indivisibles,
Here’s what you’ve got to understand about PA-10: Donald Trump won the district with 50.7% of the vote (to President Biden’s 47.8%). In 2020, insurrectionist Scott Perry beat his Democratic challenger with 53.3% of the vote. Right now, FiveThirtyEight has the race at solid R. But 10 days ago, Public Policy Polling surveyed 714 likely voters in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District -- this is what they found:
- Shamaine Daniels, the three-term Harrisburg city councilwoman challenging Perry, holds a 44-41 advantage over him
- Perry is underwater with 48% viewing him unfavorably
- Upon hearing that Daniels is a strong supporter of reproductive rights, 42% of respondents said they would be more likely to support her
- 47 percent of PA-10 voters say they’re less likely to vote for Perry after hearing he reportedly asked Donald Trump for a pardon for his role in the insurrection and 45% said they were less likely to send Perry back to Washington after hearing he voted “no” on the infrastructure bill
Real-talk: the vibe shift is happening in PA-10, just like it is across the country. And Indivisible groups in Pennsylvania are hard at work making sure we make the most of it.
Click here to split a donation between PA-10 Democratic challenger Shamaine Daniels and Indivisible to fund billboards (more on that below!) in PA-10 and all of our work to defeat MAGA Republicans this November.
In the last six weeks, groups in Pennsylvania like Hershey Indivisible Team, Capital Region Stands Up, and others have been hard at work holding Scott Perry accountable and making sure that as many voters as possible know about his role in attempting to steal the 2020 election.
They’ve rallied.
They’ve run newspaper ads.
They’ve written op-eds and letters to the editor.
They've put up hundreds and hundreds of wanted posters (and recruited TONS of new members to their group who want to get involved in the work to flip the district this November).
And they’re just getting started.
That’s where you come in.
This week, after Scott Perry was identified as a “a grave danger to American democracy” in a new report from the Defend Democracy Project, we want to help groups put up four billboards across PA-10 to make sure voters understand what a threat Perry is. But we need your help.
To continue to provide this level of support to groups holding their members of Congress accountable from now until November (and get these billboards up next week in Pennsylvania), we need your help. Can you chip in $10, $25, or more today to help us continue this work to go on offense against MAGA extremists like Scott Perry and support his Democratic challenger Shamaine Daniels?
Over the next few weeks, groups are pulling out all the stops to brand Perry with his own MAGA extremism to make sure Pennsylvanians understand the choice they have in November in the clearest possible terms. We’ll support them (and others!) with:
🗞️ Media support & national amplification
👨 Cardboard Perry cutouts, signs, and other event materials
📧 Email, SMS, and social media recruitment
💻 Trainings and support from our team on bird-dogging, laughtivism, and other tactics
…and more.
But, like we told you when we asked you to chip in to support those newspaper ads a couple of weeks ago, our plan to defeat MAGA mayhem wasn’t something we budgeted for this year. So, every single dollar you can provide helps bring this work to life.
We can’t wait to send you pictures of the billboards.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team
