Each year we commemorate the day… 100 years ago — when women finally gained the right to vote. Thanks to legislation championed by former Congresswoman Bella Abzug — aptly nicknamed “Battling Bella” — this day is known as Women’s Equality Day.
Although this is usually a day of celebration and reflection on women’s progress, this year feels different to me.
The overturning of Roe has created an America where half its population is now less equal.
The GOP is just getting started. They want to take our Democratic majority away and with it our rights and dignity. They want a national ban on abortion, contraception and same sex marriages. They want to turn back the clock — way back — to a time when women had no control over their bodies, lives and futures.
Our equality is under attack. We must battle to protect our majority and rights.
I’ve battled for a woman’s right to choose, equal rights and justice for all throughout my 40 years in public office. I’m determined to continue battling for our values and equality. But, I can’t do it without your important support.
Please join this battle for true equality by supporting my reelection campaign:
Thank you for your consideration.
