My friend Lucy McBath is an inspiration. 

If you don’t know her story, you should: 

Lucy is an activist who tragically lost her son, Jordan, to a senseless act of gun violence in 2012. 

After Jordan’s murder, Lucy fought back and spoke out. 

She traveled across the country organizing voters and lobbying lawmakers to pass gun reform. 

And after getting fed up with Congress’s inability to stand up to the gun lobby, Lucy ran against an NRA-backed Congressional incumbent in Georgia, and won by 1.5 points.

Now, Lucy leads the fight for gun safety in Congress and serves the people of Georgia’s 6th Congressional district with pride.
