Hi John -
I'm writing this message from camp after a huge day of powerful actions in Jackson Hole yesterday. Before I head out for another day of events, I wanted to share with you some photos and highlights from the actions so far.
But first, I wanted to say thank you! None of this work would be possible without the entire climate movement having our back. We feel your support here on the ground.
As you probably know by now, we’re here at the Federal Reserve’s largest annual gathering — the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium — to call on the Fed to cut off the flow of funds to fossil fuels and take the climate risks to our economy seriously.
So we started the day by welcoming the attendees of the Symposium at the airport so they would see us as soon as they headed to their hotel:
Then in the afternoon, we held a peaceful protest and press conference at the Jackson Hole Lodge with incredible speakers including:
During the day, we also had a bike brigade protest:
Today and tomorrow we’ll be hosting more peaceful demonstrations with art and music, so stay tuned!
Thank you again for all your support. Together, I know we can win and usher in a new era at the Fed – one that puts an end to fossil fuel finance.
In solidarity,
Emily Park
