Today is also the day that Texas’s trigger ban law takes effect, which means it is now a felony to provide an abortion in virtually every circumstance across the state of Texas.

While a record number of women are running for office, Tuesday night’s primary election results showed that, when given the choice between a viable female candidate and a viable male candidate, voters are still having a hard time believing in the female candidate. It doesn’t help that institutional endorsers and Democratic party support tend to rally around male candidates…

Women candidates get skipped over for important endorsements on a regular basis. Often it's because these endorsements are based on fundraising numbers, incumbency, pedigree, favors, or the propensity to favor the status quo. We know women find themselves at a disadvantage in all of those categories compared to their male counterparts.
