At a time when Americans seem to have less faith and respect for our foundational institutions than ever, I think a lot about why that is, and how we might ultimately rise above it. And though it's far from the only reason that trust is so eroded, I believe that the obscenely profitable stock transactions of politicians is part of the problem, and it absolutely must stop.

Banning stock trades by members of Congress and their families is a serious issue with bipartisan support. And it's not just the torch and pitchfork crowd, but serious advocates for working families like Senators Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Jon Ossoff in Georgia, and more.
Senator Warren endorsed our campaign in 2020, and Ike supports legislation like Sen. Warren's that would ban members of Congress and their spouses from owning and trading individual stocks while they’re in office.
