We are so excited to announce that California Attorney General Xavier Becerra will be a keynote speaker at Health Action 2020! Attorney General Becerra previously served 12 terms in the US House of Representatives as a member of the Committee on Ways and Means, Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, and Ranking Member of the Ways and Means subcommittee on Social Security.
As Attorney General, Becerra has proven his commitment to protecting access to health care and improved health, both in California and nationwide. He is leading a coalition of 20 states and the District of Columbia in defending the Affordable Care Act in Texas v. US, a case that threatens health care for millions. In his work, he defends reproductive and LGBTQ+ care, immigrant rights, the environment, and so many other issues that have been under attack in recent years. Attorney General Becerra is a staunch advocate and tireless fighter for affordable and accessible health care and we are ecstatic to have him speak at our conference!
