John,

As part of the deal to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, Senators Manchin and Schumer agreed to introduce separate legislation in September that fast-tracks permit approvals for dangerous fossil fuel projects like the 300-mile Mountain Valley Pipeline.

We can't allow our communities to be sacrificed to more pipelines, fracking, and climate disasters. That's why frontline communities in Appalachia – and from across the country – are gathering in DC to make it clear to legislators that they refuse to be used as political bargaining chips.

Join us on September 8th to demand that our members of Congress block any deal that would make it easier for fossil fuel companies to harm our communities.

If this side deal of Manchin's goes through, it would gut the environmental review process for fossil fuels projects and silence the public's voice in the decision making process, taking away the tools that ensure our communities have a say in the projects that threaten our land, our water, and our health.

As one of its first acts, it would approve Senator Manchin's pet project, the devastating Mountain Valley Pipeline!

We must stop this deal.

Join us in DC at the No Sacrifice Zones rally to demand that Congress blocks this "permitting reform" deal meant to be a gift to the fossil fuel industry.
