Public Works ongoing projects

Public Works continues its efforts to maintain the Village?s infrastructure with several ongoing projects. Street sweeping is taking place this week throughout the Village. Street sweeping helps both to maintain the appearance of the streets and is an important component in protecting water ways by preventing excess debris from entering the storm sewer system.

Crews are also working on fire hydrant flushing beginning next week. Hydrant flushing helps to both check water flows and to encourage high flows to clear any sediment from the water system. Signs will be posted before work begins so that affected residents are aware.?
