Happy Women’s Equality Day, John!
In honor of the 102nd anniversary of women’s suffrage, I wanted to share a personal note about why we need more women representing our communities in office.
I’ve worked in the political landscape for decades, and much of my early work as a community organizer took place in groups of mostly women. Our experiences as women and mothers propelled us to mobilize on issues that touch all of our lives, regardless of political affiliation, like education and women’s health.
Now, as the only woman running for Congress in our district and the only woman in my class in the Legislature, I can proudly attest to the value of women’s voices in government — and the unstoppable power we can create when we work together.
I’m running for Congress to continue my life’s work for women and families. I want my daughter and sons to see a woman representing our district for the very first time — and with your help, we will make it happen. Can you make a contribution to my campaign today?

Women will — and do — change the world. And this November, it’s time to fully realize our power at the polls.
Together,
