Great news! California is eliminating the sales of all new gasoline powered cars by 2035! [link removed]

While this is a fantastic new policy that will accelerate the shift to addressing fuel emissions affecting climate change, please don't think the California State Legislature had anything to do with it. The decision actually came from regulators on the California Air Resources Board. 

John, California’s Democratic State Legislature has a super majority over its Republican counterparts. Leadership like this should not regularly take so long especially if addressing climate change is on the Democratic National Committee’s official platform. Maybe, if California legislators were not allowed to take contributions from corporations like Exxon Mobil or Shell, we would have reached policy achievements like this earlier. 

But let’s celebrate today’s news, and tomorrow, let’s get back to work pushing our blue state legislatures to give us the prorgressive leadership we know they can.
