Hey John,

It’s that time again: we’re approaching our next end-of-month fundraising deadline this Wednesday, August 31. In a moment, I’m going to ask if you can chip in $10 or $25 to support our people-powered campaign, but first, I hope you’ll let me explain the stakes of this race.

We’re currently less than 75 days away from the general election on November 8. That means we have less than 75 days to get TV ads on the air, put more yard signs in lawns, and make phone calls and knock doors to get out the vote and build support for our campaign to flip NM-02 blue.

Meanwhile, MAGA extremist Yvette Herrell already launched her first TV ad, and we can expect the far-right attacks against us to start any day now.

Herrell has spent her first term in Congress voting AGAINST certifying the 2020 election results, AGAINST protecting the right to choose, AGAINST better healthcare for our veterans, AGAINST a $35 cap on insulin, AGAINST historic investments to our infrastructure, and so much more. It’s up to us to ensure that her first term in the U.S. House is also her last.

NM-02 deserves a true representative in Congress who will fight for abortion access, democracy and voting rights, affordable healthcare, protecting our public lands, and moving our state forward.

Our race is one of the most important in the country: this toss-up district is one of the Democratic Party’s top priorities to flip from red to blue in order to defend our House majority from a Republican takeover.

This Wednesday at midnight marks our end-of-month deadline, so I have to ask: can you pitch in a grassroots donation of ANY amount today to help us reach our goal and unseat Herrell this Fall?
