Friend,

President Biden thinks that he can imagine a recession away by simply denying it exists.

The truth is that central planners like Biden must deny reality to fulfill their political ambitions—often with deadly and disastrous consequences.

Friend, this reminds me of a Ron Paul quote: “Truth is treason in the empire of lies. And our economy is built upon lies.”

I’m thinking of lies such as these:

The only way to see through lies is to have an educated populace.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Lawrence Reed, President Emeritus for the Foundation of Economic Education (FEE).

FEE is working to provide pro-liberty, free-market economic education to high school students across the country through FEE in the Classroom this fall.

The U.S. has posted negative growth for the second quarter in a row.

The news prompted many outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, to use the R-word: recession. But don’t worry, Friend, Biden has said the U.S. economy is “on the right path.”

Biden’s comment may come as a surprise to you and me. But Biden’s Establishment is content with where our economy is heading.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen recently stated, "We have a very strong labor market. When you are creating almost 400,000 jobs a month, that is not a recession."

Keep in mind that they are conveniently ignoring the thousands of jobs lost during the pandemic lockdowns, which Biden also caused.

The high school students that go through FEE in the Classroom would never fall for the nonsense of changing definitions to hide economic reality. They also learn that there is no good substitute for strong personal character.

All you have to do is look around your average US city to see the economic struggles—decay, crime, parents working multiple jobs to make ends meet.

That’s why I’m reaching out and asking you to become a Student Sponsor for FEE in the Classroom. Click here to change a high school student's life >>>

FEE in the Classroom is a unique program held in brick-and-mortar and virtual classrooms across the country that teaches young Americans the principles of free markets, individual liberty, and limited government.

This program uniquely challenges high school students to think outside the box, to challenge the mainstream narrative.

On an average day, 75–300 students engage with FEE’s faculty of acclaimed instructors through compelling lectures, exciting economic experiments, engaging group discussions, and Q&As.

Students learn how the core principles of individual liberty and free-market economics apply to their daily lives, communities, careers, and the state of the nation.

Thousands of young Americans have come to understand the positive impact freedom has on their lives, their communities, and our country through FEE in the Classroom workshops.

In fact, one of the most frequently asked questions afterward is: “Why haven’t I heard these ideas before?”

The ideas of individualism, liberty, and free markets are under attack by constant propaganda in the U.S, and socialism is gaining ground once again.
Young Americans need to know that there is an alternative. You and I need to enable these students to learn about the ideals of liberty and economic freedom.

Friend, I’ve experienced socialism first hand, and I know the effects it can have on people—that’s why I want students to learn about the horrors of socialism through education, not first-hand like me.

I was in Poland in the 1980s with one mission in mind. I needed to do everything I could to bring the ideas of free markets and liberty to people in the communist bloc.

I smuggled books (and raised money to support book smuggling) into Eastern European countries such as Poland and the Soviet Union itself.

I was a smuggler of liberty, free thought, and economic freedom.

Friend, the Soviets banned learning about these ideals to keep people in the dark about their actions.

Now Biden is trying to change a word's definition for personal gain. He would manipulate and lie to the entire country rather than tell the truth.

As Voltaire said, "Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities."
