Here they go again.
The New York Times is questioning whether Republicans of ‘color’ are using the American Dream to gain votes and win elections.
It’s outrageous. Those brave enough to share their personal stories while running for office shouldn’t be attacked – they should be praised for sharing their truth.
Think of all the young people across the country who might be inspired by hearing the stories of kids just like them growing up to do great things.
Here is a quick reminder for the mainstream media:
I grew up poor in South Carolina with a single mother who worked 16 hours a day to keep food on our table and a roof over our heads.
It was tough, but through hard work and God's grace, my family went from cotton to Congress in one lifetime.
I have lived the American Dream and know that even in hard times, this is the best country in the world to work and raise a family because of the opportunity our freedom affords.
I need your help to fight back against these outrageous attacks from the New York Times and others in mainstream media. They would instead attack and divide us simply to score political points.
I wake up every single day fighting to protect the American Dream. We must work together now because we cannot give up any more ground to those forces that wish to divide us.
Will you help me defend the American Dream by making a small donation today?
The future of our country -- for generations to come -- could depend on what we do right now.
