Pete just released “El Pueblo Unido: A New Era for Latinos” [[link removed]] -- a bold, comprehensive plan to dismantle the institutional barriers that have kept many Latinos from feeling like they fully belong in their country.

As President, Pete will put an end to the Trump administration’s policy of bigotry. To support and empower the Latino community, a Buttigieg administration will tackle inequities in access to health care, safe drinking water and clean air, affordable housing, justice, and economic opportunity with policies that:

I. Invest in Latinos’ economic empowerment
Pete will commit to investing in Latino-owned businesses and entrepreneurs to level the playing field and reduce the racial wealth gap.
II. Improve systems including health care, housing, and education for Latinos
Pete will dramatically expand access to affordable housing, provide safe drinking water for all, and lower the cost of college and increase completion rates--especially for first-generation college students.
III. Make our democracy stronger and more inclusive
Pete will propose a 21st Century Voting Rights Act to end all types of voter suppression and expand voting access, no matter the color of one’s skin or ZIP code.
