In a moment I'm going to ask you to chip in to my campaign before our critical end-of-month fundraising deadline. But first I wanted to tell you a bit about how I got here.

I will never forget where I come from or the opportunities New Hampshire and this country have given me and my family.

Like many of us who come from family's that emigrated to the United States in the search for a better tomorrow for their children, I am the embodiment of the American Dream.

In 1906 my great-grandfather, Arthur Papathanasiou, left his home in Livadi – a tiny hilltop town in Turkish occupied northern Greece – to start a better life in America. He wasn’t sure what he would find when he got here. He didn’t know exactly where he was going, but he believed that this new world would be better than the one he knew.

In the years that followed, my great-grandfather opened up a candy store and then a restaurant in Manchester as a new American citizen. Fast-forward to over 100 years later, and it is our community that keeps his business and dream alive.

I don't think he would have imagined that one day his great-grandson would be fighting for New Hampshire in the U.S. House of Representatives. But just as I am proud of where I've ended up thanks to my family’s sacrifices all of those years ago, I know that they would be proud of what I've been able to accomplish with you by my side every step of the way.

Team, my decision to run for Congress in NH-01 came down to the fact that some New Hampshire family’s were being left behind. We can’t succeed as a country if the American Dream is a quaint notion from the early 20th century.

Without taking a dime of corporate PAC money, we were able to build two winning grassroots campaigns in one of the "swingiest" districts in the country. We have a proven track record of meaningful progress, not just in our district, but across the nation. And it was all made possible because of this team.

Every day in Congress I'm fighting to keep the American dream alive. That's why this term I voted to pass The American Rescue Plan to revive our economy; The Bipartisan Infrastructure and Jobs Investment Act to invest in New Hampshire's roads, bridges, and transit; and most recently the Inflation Reduction Act to fight inflation, lower drug costs, and combat climate change.

I'm ready to keep fighting to support New Hampshire’s small businesses, improve access to affordable health care, get our veterans the benefits they have earned, fight inflation, combat the opioid epidemic, protect our drinking water, and defend reproductive freedom. But I can't do it without your support.

Election experts rated NH-01 a "Toss Up" race, and so much is on the line in our campaign. My extreme opponents have sought to divide us by spreading conspiracy theories and supporting backward policies like a national abortion ban.

Since GOP super PACs have made NH-01 one of their top targets with just over 70 days out from the general election , we can't afford to fall behind on any of our fundraising goals from now until the last ballot is cast on November 8th.
