Federal COVID-19 funds are drying up – and discussions to pass more aid are not moving forward right now in Congress. That’s bad news for hospitals and patients.
And we’re not just talking about COVID-19 patients. When hospitals are strained, it can impact all patients and everyone’s ability to access timely, affordable, and high-quality health care.

Dwindling resources, staffing shortages, and the ongoing pandemic have taken a serious toll on our health care institutions. And there’s no relief in sight. The newer COVID-19 variants are more contagious than prior ones; flu season is around the corner; and monkeypox has been declared a public health emergency.
Hospitals and health care workers are there for us 24/7, caring for our families and communities through every virus, every illness, every accident. We need to make sure they have what they need to continue their vital work.
