Fake clinics don’t exist to help pregnant people.

CPCs = Fake Clinics

Dear John,

On Tuesday, Attorney General Keith Ellison issued a consumer alert regarding “Crisis Pregnancy Centers,” anti-abortion fake clinics that claim to provide resources and services to pregnant people. In reality, many of these organizations spread misinformation, deceive pregnant people, and do whatever they can to advance their extremist agenda.

“As Minnesota’s chief consumer advocate and legal officer, I want to alert Minnesotans that crisis pregnancy centers often do not offer the services they claim to offer, and that the information about abortion and contraception they offer may be inaccurate or misleading,” said Ellison on Tuesday.

Help us spread the word about fake clinics in Minnesota.

📣 Shout your CPC story. If you’ve had a negative experience with a fake clinic, share it on social media or email us so we can share it for you (anonymous is ok!)

📣 Share Attorney General Ellison’s consumer alert on Twitter and Facebook, and let your loved ones know what these "clinics" are really up to.

We’re grateful to The People’s Lawyer, Attorney General Ellison, for standing up to these fraudulent organizations. Minnesota has 90 CPCs (compared to just eight abortion providers). Many of them are bankrolled by the state and required to discourage pregnant people from seeking abortion care. As taxpayers and consumers, we deserve to know where our money is going and what these fake clinics really aim to do. (Hint: it’s not to provide resources, health care, or baby clothes; it’s to prevent people from accessing abortion care).

Choosing a pregnancy care provider is a life-or-death decision and getting this information out to Minnesotans is critical. Let us know if you have a fake clinic story to share, and don’t forget to spread the word about Ellison’s consumer alert. Lives literally depend on it.

In unbreakable solidarity,

Ps: This consumer alert from A.G. Ellison is just one of the ways he’s gone to bat for Minnesotans in his tenure as Attorney General. He’s he used the full power of his office to hold corporations accountable, support women’s economic security, and prosecute the ex-police officers who murdered George Floyd. He’s taken on Exonn Mobile, Koch Industries, Big Pharma, predatory student loan lenders, slumloards, and HMOs. That’s why we’re ready to throw down to reelect him this November. Update your voter registration and make your plan to vote for Keith Ellison today.
