It’s official: The Biden Administration is moving toward fulfilling one of their campaign promises by forgiving $10,000 in student loan debt for those making less than $125,000 a year, an additional $10,000 for those with Pell grants, and extending the pause on payments until the end of the year.
This plan also includes a cap on payments to 5% of monthly income and other key reforms. John, this is major progress, thanks to a yearslong pressure campaign by progressives across the country.
However it still doesn’t end the fight — if the President can cancel $10,000 of student loan debt, he can cancel all of it! That means 👏🏾 every 👏🏾 last 👏🏾 penny! 💯
