John,
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) has a vendetta against Social Security. He’s made no secret of his plans to privatize Social Security and put it on the chopping block every single year.
The good news is that Johnson is on the ballot this November — and recent polling shows him trailing his opponent, Mandela Barnes.
Barnes is a Social Security champion who, if elected, will fight to protect and expand Social Security.
We can’t get complacent.
That’s why Social Security Works plans to spend the next two months making sure every voter in Wisconsin hears about Johnson’s plans to cut our earned benefits, and how Mandela Barnes is the champion we need in the U.S. Senate.
This is a critical race for the future of Social Security. Click here to split a donation between Mandela Barnes and Social Security Works to send Ron Johnson packing!

John,
Social Security has a lot of enemies in the U.S. Senate — Republicans who want to destroy the program to please their Wall Street donors. But most of them are pretty quiet about it because they know that Social Security is incredibly popular with voters of all political stripes.
Not Ron Johnson.
Johnson hates Social Security so much that he can’t keep his mouth shut. He’s launching a new attack against Social Security virtually every week.
The latest? Johnson says that Social Security was “set up improperly” and should be handed over to Wall Street.1 Johnson wants to allow the crooks on Wall Street to gamble away our Social Security system.
Had this been the case just a decade ago, millions of seniors would have lost their entire retirement savings in the Great Recession. Without Social Security’s guaranteed benefits, seniors who retire at the wrong time would suffer through their retirement years in extreme poverty.
Fortunately, Johnson is up for re-election this November. His opponent, Mandela Barnes, supports protecting and expanding Social Security.
Let’s replace Ron Johnson with a Social Security champion! Click here to split a contribution of $5 between Mandela Barnes and Social Security Works today.
Johnson’s latest remarks are far from his only attack on Social Security. Earlier this month, Johnson called for turning Social Security from a guaranteed benefit into “discretionary spending” that Congress has to approve every year.2
Johnson has also called Social Security a “ponzi scheme” and said that it was “a shame” George W. Bush failed to privatize it.
As long as Ron Johnson remains in the US Senate, he will never stop trying to destroy our earned Social Security benefits. We need to send him packing this November — Social Security’s future depends on it.
Split a contribution of $5 between Mandela Barnes and Social Security Works to defeat Ron Johnson and send a Social Security champion to the Senate to fight for us!
