Dear Friend,
Contrary to what is reported in the news, we have seen glimmers of hope this Summer in leaders winning primaries (and elections) pointing towards a potentially positive November. For PowerPAC we have participated in and witnessed great strides this year and want to inspire and energize all of you as we prepare to take the wins in November. Starting with the win in Milwaukee of the first Black mayor ever in April we have been on a roll making sure that voter turnout is higher and progressive candidates move forward to battle with the crazy ass Republicans in November. Here is a sample of some big wins so far:
Cavalier Johnson, wins mayor of Milwaukee; Diana Becton, wins DA election in Contra Costa County CA, Yesenia Sanchez wins Sheriff in Alameda County CA, Bee Nguyen wins nomination for SOS in GA, Adrian Fontes wins nomination for SOS in Arizona, Karen Bass wins spot in runoff for Mayor of Los Angeles, Lindsey Horvath wins spot in runoff for supervisor in LA County, Lori Wilson wins her Assembly seat in CA, Helen Tran wins spot in runoff for mayor of Riverside CA, and Mandela Barnes wins the Dem nomination for Senate in WI.

In addition there will be critical races for SOS in Michigan (defend Jocelyn Benson) and Nevada’s race between Cisco Aguilar (Dem) and Jim Marchant. Marchant is the one who helped start the America First SOS Coalition which has banded together all the Trump supported SOS candidates poised to steal the 2024 election. But Aguilar is a strong candidate and this is definitely a race to watch and invest in.
So we have a lot of great opportunities to ensure that we win a lot in November. These Leaders of Hope that have advanced to their respective general elections will be defenders of our democracy and help make sure that our 2024 election is democratic and fair. Please join us as we work doubly hard to win in November all over the country. Thank you for your continued support, Andy Wong, PowerPAC |
