There’s a lot of talk about Donald Trump in the news. There’s talk about the U.S. Senate majority, and there’s talk about the 2020 presidential election.

But the true threat to democracy is not on the national level. The true emergency is, as former Ohio Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper explained, “the collapse of representative democracy in one statehouse after another.”

It’s an alarming statement, but only because it’s spot on.

As MAGA Republicans in Ohio’s legislature work day in and day out to gerrymander our voices away, our democracy and our rights are slipping away, too.

And if we don’t act NOW, we won’t have a hope at saving our state from right-wing extremism.

But right now, we can do something. Ohio Democrats are working tirelessly to make BIG wins in the state legislature this year, and with your help, we can do even more.
