and we are one step closer to ending abusive debt collection practices

Team, we just received word from our friends at Healthcare Rising Arizona that this measure has officially made its way onto the November ballot!!

Over 500,000 Arizona voters signed petitions to make this ballot measure a reality because it’s LONG past time to end abusive medical debt practices in Arizona.

Today, we affirm that no family should lose their home or car due to medical emergencies or accidents — and they most certainly should not be subject to unfair and crushing interest rates for accessing health care when they needed it most.

While we celebrate this major milestone, it’s also a reminder that our work is only getting started → Right now, we’re laser-focused on using every resource we can towards our GOTV efforts and powering this campaign to victory in November. Can you chip in $15, $25, or whatever you can afford today to power our fights in Arizona and across the country to put an end to predatory lending and debt practices?

1 in 6 Arizonans have past due medical debt, team. And we will not stand by while bad actors take advantage of working families.

Swimming in debt only made worse by companies charging outrageous interest rates and exorbitant fees can be one of the most isolating feelings. And we plan to show Arizonans everywhere that they have an entire movement behind them so that no one is penalized for seeking lifesaving care.

Winning in November would protect Arizona families and seniors from all over the state, and we know how to win campaigns like the fight in Arizona — but these wins are only possible when supporters like you back us up, friend. Can we count on you to rush a donation to the Fairness Project right away to help fuel our campaigns?
