The number of children being displaced by conflict and crises is rapidly growing and so is our responsibility to reach them with essential supplies and care. Despite making up less than one third of the global population, children account for almost half of all refugees.
With few or no secure pathways to safety, children on the move often encounter danger, violence and discrimination — elevating the importance of UNICEF’s efforts to reach these children. Since war broke out in Ukraine, UNICEF-UNHCR teams have established more than three dozen Blue Dot child-friendly spaces along transit routes to extend health care, safe water, protection and other essential services to up to 1,000 people a day.
As global crises like the war in Ukraine and droughts in the Horn of Africa continue to displace children, more support is needed to help the millions of children uprooted from their homes. Make a gift today to ensure UNICEF can deliver essential supplies, increase access protection services and meet the needs of children on the move >> |
UNICEF works around the world to help protect the rights of children who have been forced to flee their homes. Wherever they come from, UNICEF teams will be there to welcome all children with support to help them thrive.
Your gift furthers this work to reach more children on the move. Please give now to make your impact. |
